WHO ARE WE?

Roller derby was first brought to Wichita by the ICT Roller Girls (later ICT Roller Derby) in 2006. As ICT, the league became a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and in 2016 hosted the WFTDA Division II Playoffs. ICT went on hiatus in 2020, and entered a rebuilding period afterward. In 2023, the league became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and rebranded to Wicked City Roller Derby. We have always been a skater-run team of dedicated volunteers who want to give everyone a chance to be a part of the hard-hitting sport of roller derby in Wichita.

WE ARE WICKED!

Wicked City’s travel team plays games at their home track at The Cotillion and at rinks and arenas across the nation as they compete with other WFTDA teams and climb the rankings. In 2025 the league added two home teams, the Delano Devils and the Riverside Riot, who battle it out for bragging rights and the home team championship at all of our Wichita games.

In 2026 we are celebrating 20 years of roller derby in Wichita. We are incredibly proud of the community we’ve built and the skills we’ve gained in that time, and we can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish in the next 20 years.
